Blog Post 2: The Hunger Games

I have read the book: The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins

Katniss Everdeen has volunteered to participate in the hunger games, where teens fight to the death. Her and Peeta Mellark are sent away to join the others participants and soon find themselves in a land, on there own, with only one another and have to fight to survive. Battling supernatural creatures, bad weather and there opponents, Katniss and Peeta must struggle to stay alive.

This story is amazingly well written and is a tale of life, death, and love. I feel in love with the characters, they were so lifelike I felt I knew them. Its an exciting book with a twist of darkness hidden in the pages. You may find it impossible to put down like I did, constant action that will involve you, making you cry, laugh, and think.

  1. The summary is very cut and precise yet does it's job in giving the reader insight into this novel.
The review is very good too and I believe it captures how nerve racking the experience of reading the Hunger Games is, I have to admit, I cried a lot is certain points... there may have been some screaming at the book too...
All in all very well done at staying in the limits of the assignment and yet also delving very deep into the professional ways of summaries and reviews.
